Galician Literature Day 2022
Each 17 of May, Galicia celebrates the big day of its letters. This year the Galician Literature Day is dedicated to the writer Florencio Delgado Gurriaran (Valdeorras Corgomo, 1903 – Fair Oaks, California, 1987), is a reflection of Galician culture in the twentieth century.
I swim in 1903 in the municipality of Vilamartín de Valdeorras, died in the year 1987 in California, where he lived.
He wrote his first book, Bebedeiras, while working in a law firm, work dedicated to his region in the year 1934. Among his works are Galicia infinda, catarenas, Cancioneiro da loita galega and O Soño do guieiro.
