Sarria

Sarria is a municipality and a town in the province of Lugo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is the capital of the Sarria region and headquarters of the judicial district of the same name. It has an approximate population of about 13.350 population.

It is known for being the usual starting point for the last 100 km of the French Way of Santiago. Among its monuments, the Torre de la Fortaleza de los Marquesses de Sarria stands out, only surviving element of the Fortress, and the Magdalena Monastery built in the 13th century. Total, throughout the municipality you can find up to 20 churches of the Romanesque period.
